On Borrowed Time
Soldier – Gives the user straight bonuses to-hit and to damage.
It’s not flashy.
It’s not glamorous.
But it’s practical. It works. The way of the soldier is the steady, basic effects that drive an army forward. The people who’s job is to go up front, hit people with their spear, and have the enemy fall over.
They follow the orders.
Everywhere has their soldiers. The barbarians of Nordaugh, who just hit people with axes. The archers of the Steppes, who just shoot people. The legionaires of Imperia, who nod at orders and hit things with spears. Even the Expanse has its rank and file.
They employ the orders.
They make the armies of the world move.
Soldiers automatically get the below three abilities.
Soldier’s Accuracy: The Soldier gains a one point bonus to hit. This bonus increases every fifth level.
- (Bonus of 1 at 1-4, bonus of 2 at 5-9, bonus of 3 at 10-14, bonus of 4 at 15-19)
Soldier’s Damage: The soldier deals an extra 1d6 damage. The damage bonus increases by an extra 1d6 per 5 levels.
- This damage can only happen once per round per target.
- It does expressly work on both physical and magical damage.
- (1d6 from levels 1-4, 2d6 from levels 5-9, 3d6 from levels 10-14, 4d6 from levels 15-19)
Efficient Soldier: Gain extra effects when commanded by a commander.
